Nivetha Thomas is an actress and model who is predominantly known for her roles in Tamil and Malayalam. A born Malayali but completely Tamilnadu grownup beauty.

She started her career with Uthara for which she got fame as "Best Young Actress" from Kerala State Film Awards. 


Young Artist ??? Yes, she is just 20 and presently pursuing Engineering in Architecture (present Final Year) at SRM University Chennai. 

Some of her notable films include Veruthe Oru Bharya, Papanasam ( Remake of Drishyam) and Gentleman. She had done 17 Movies including Gentleman till and a bunch of TV Serials.

#1. Nivetha Thomas : Short and Sweet Actress

We have nearly seen 6 feet tall actresses around Tollywood. Nivetha's height is little Short compared to Heroines who featured in Telugu Movies. 

Nivetha Thomas Height is 1.52 m. That's 4 Feet 9 Inches. You would be amazed to hear it. Right? But its True. Before her, another Malayali Girl Nithya Menon is Top in this list with 5 Feet 2 Inches. We all know Height is no match to Talent and Nivetha Thomas proved it again.

#2. Gentleman is not her first Telugu Appearance:

You must be shocked to hear this. But, yes Gentleman is not her first appearance to Telugu Audience. 


Nivetha Thomas is not new to Telugu Audience as she has appeared in a couple of dubbed movie like Allari Naresh's Sangarshana and Vijay's Dopidi Movie and in a few.


But it is Catherine, the Lovely detective in Gentleman that made people sit up and took notice of her.

How ever Dubbed movies doesn't count in as debut. So that makes Gentleman as her Debut movie in Telugu.

At an age of 8, she started her career in TV Serials. Her first appearance in TV Serials is with leading actress Ramya Krishna in a Devotional Tamil Serial Raja Rajeswari. Later on, Nivetha Thomas had done 4 other serials.

At an age of 13, got a role as Jayram's Daughter to act in Veruthe Oru Bharya movie for which she was awarded as Best Child Actress from Kerala State Awards. Chaappa Kurish , Malayalam movie is her first movie as a Heroine.

#4. A Little help from Maths Fever:

Like every school child, Nivetha too has a fear of Maths. Whenever she has Maths exam, she used to act like she was sick of Fever.

With her utmost Naturalistic action she made her parents believe and even they used to condole her like Don't worry about exams and take rest.


These situations helped her in the early age of acting in TV shows. We can see her Natural acting in Gentleman movie where sometimes she even dominated Actor Nani.

#5. No Language Barrier:

We see many Telugu Heroines feel difficult to talk in Telugu. Nivetha though a Malayali speaks crystal clear Telugu with minimal use of English words. 


Being a Malayali, during the shoot of Papanasam, she managed with Tanglish (Tamil+English).

She even thought of making her own dubbing to Catherine character in Gentleman. But due to her semester exams, we missed her cute voice onscreen.

Studies Vs Movie Career?? This is the situation, every Young minds faces. Basically most of the actors/actress chooses Movie Career once they got good fame. But Nivetha Thomas is a typical girl who voted for Studies and humbly rejected the offers in her early stage.

She even rejected Dhrishyam Malayalam Movie with Top Actor Mohan Lal due to her studies but luckily she got chance again to act in Tamil version with the Legendary Actor Kamal Hassan.

Not only studies, she is good at Sports too. Nivetha loves to play Badminton in free time and bagged many Gold Medals in Badminton during the school days.
